seatbelt

I do not know the exact date on which this photo was taken but it was shortly after I was born. It was taken outside of the doctor's office. I can assure you there are no flowers or anything green at the doctor's office this summer.

Today we parted with my beloved infant carseat. Though I often try to squeeze myself into it just to sit, there really was not much reason to keep a carseat that I stopped using in February of 2010 when I got too wide. Sometimes George the bunny would sit in it too.

We sold the carseat to a lovely family who drove 100 miles to buy it. We drove a long way too and went over the fanciest bridge en route. We met at Whole Foods (not our usual one). When we got into the parking lot, I assumed we would visit with Trinity. When my mom said Trinity was at work and we wouldn't see her, I exclaimed "oh no, I lost my best friend."

The family who bought my carseat is having twins. As the dad walked away with my carseat, I cried and cried and cried and asked "could I try it." And then I cried all the way home about wanting to try the seatbelt.
