It is going to be a dreadfully long summer. You can only build so many hotels, roads, garages, saw mills, airports, and train tracks.
We set the alarm for way too early this morning so we could get an early start on the day. We were invited to visit a friend's ranch. I had low expectations for life after preschool but this was my best day ever. When we got to the ranch, there was even a cookie waiting for me that was purchased at my pastry shop!
We started our visit by going for a long walk. I climbed up a mountain of dirt. I swung from a low-hanging tree branch. We found the stream and I splashed about and tossed rocks in. We returned to the house and looked in toolboxes.
Then we sat under the large oak trees and ate snacks.
Did I ever nap well this afternoon.
All I can think about now is going back to the ranch.
